“..To Steal the Surfer’s Soul”

Surferen kæmper mod Dutchman, der som vi så i sidste nummer er blevet hyret af Mephisto til at få Surferen til at opgive sin sjæl. Mephisto er så opsat og edderspændt på resultatet, at han ikke kan holde sig væk fra jorden. Han svæver usynligt rundt og iagtager kampen og kan slet ikke lade være med at blande sig, ved fx at give Dutchman endnu flere kræfter. Men ak og ve Surferen ér uovervindelig og selv Dutchman, overvældes af Surferens rene sjæl og opgiver kampen. Surferen fælder en tåre for Dutchman, der må tilbage til sit evige eksil i Limbo, men netop det, at nogen fælder en tåre af medlidenhed for Dutchman, gør at han sættes fri fra sin forbandelse.
Den megalomane og mageløst listige Mephisto må nok engang, se kampen tabt mod den af hjertet rene og sjælpureste pragtmedmenneskelige og uovertrufne uskyldshvidvaskede Silver Surfer, der selv må tilbage til sit eksil, sit Limbo: Jorden.

En sjov to-parter, med nogle gode replikker, men med tegninger der ikke helt lever op til seriens ellers stratofæriske niveau. Men flot er det stadigt, og hvor ér det fedt, at Mephisto synes at være ved, at blive Silver Surferens ærkefjende. Mon ikke han vender tilbage før serien slutter?
